Dr. Pankaj M. Madhani received an MBA degree from Northern Illinois University, USA and an MS in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering (2nd rank - L. D. College of Engineering), Law as well as PGDM (2 year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management). He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from CEPT University. He has more than 26 years of corporate and academic experience in India and the United States. During his tenure with corporate, he has been felicitated with the Outstanding Young Managers Award instituted by BDMA (of All India Management Association, AIMA).
He is currently working as an Associate Professor at ICFAI Business School (IBS). He was convener of one of the most successful international conference organized by IBS (IBSA-ICON 07), wherein 230+ papers were presented by scholars, including 16 foreign delegates. In all, eight plenary sessions and twenty four parallel technical sessions were organized. He is recipient of the IBSAF Best Teacher Award for the year 2012-13. He has also won Best Mentor award. He has conducted research workshops and faculty development programmes across India. He has been part of the curriculum review on Finance as well as General Management subjects for the IBS - PG programme. He has presented several research papers at International Conferences in India and Abroad. He has received Best Research Paper Award in 2013.
He has published more than 200 book chapters and research articles in several refereed journals including Inderscience Publishers, UK; Palgrave Macmillan, USA; CRC Press (Taylor & Francis), The Netherlands; and SAGE Publications, USA. He has published seven books in the areas of ERP, business strategy and corporate finance. His research work has been cited / included in thirteen International Books. He was the first faculty from the entire Indian academic world to publish in Compensation & Benefits Review, an international scholarly journal published by SAGE Publications, USA and published THIRTEEN articles. He has published THREE articles in World at Work Journal, a leading scholarly journal published from USA. His research interests include finance, technology in business, sales compensation, corporate governance and strategic management. His TWO research papers viz. (1) 'Managing Sales Compensation: A Sales Force Configuration Approach' and (2) 'Aligning Compensation Systems With Organization Culture' appeared on Management INK - where SAGE Publications, USA highlights top articles from over 50 top-tier journals. He is the first faculty from the entire Indian academic world to publish in top-notch international journals such as World at Work Journal and The European Business Review.
